This was recorded on a beautiful, still, sunny Sunday morning in East Kent, mainly because of the intensity of the birdsong where I was a the time. Just after setting up my MiniDisc recorder, I noticed a loud buzzing in the headphones, at first thinking this was due to a technical fault. I then noticed that there was a swarm of bees overhead, showing an interest in a nearby, recently vacated hive. I jammed with the bees for quite a while, amazed to be in the position to record myself playing with a swarm of bees...sadly, when the swarm had more or less ended, I realised that I'd left the MiniDisc on "pause". So there are some bees buzzing about in these, subsequent, recordings, but they're not particularly audible. The gunshots are people shooting pheasants (or attempting to) in nearby woods.

Track 1 ends with a failed attempt to musically respond to the semi-predictable clucks and squawks of some nearby chickens. They are also audible at the beginning of Track 2. Track 4 is an attempt to play "Pisci Cuspus", interupted by an overflying helicopter.
